This is a 3 week downloadable message transcript series. Included in this file are 3 Microsoft word documents containing the full word-for-word message transcripts and student outlines.

One of the things that influences and impacts us for the rest of our life is our family, like it or not. Choices are made everyday to be bitter or offer forgiveness; to be ungrateful or thankful. Over this three-week series, you can show students how to take a little initiative, a little leadership in their lives, make some mind shifts, some action shifts, some word shifts, and blow their parents away.

Week 1 - Making Radical Changes That Will Suprise Everyone
One of the most important and influential parts of our lives can also be the hardest to live with—our family. God created families and uses them as an illustration for how we belong to his family. The way we bring life to our family is by realizing that we can't control our family, but we can control our attitude toward it. This message is designed to help students realize the positive influence they can have to improve their home life.

Week 2 - Are You Part Of The Problem Or The Solution?
It's so easy to isolate ourselves from family or to create conflict. This message is designed to show students that there is a better way... and the key to improving their home life can begin with their own actions. Will the words they use tear down or build others up? Will they be ungrateful or thankful? Will they choose bitterness or forgiveness? Will they try to handle family life on their own, or will they seek God's wisdom?

Week 3 - God Can Heal Your Family's Pain
The universal truth for all families is that they experience pain. The source of the pain may vary (divorce, death, drugs, abandonment, financial problems, etc.); however, God has a very clear roadmap for helping us deal with these issues. This message is designed to help students discover the importance of drawing near to God, discovering his plan for their lives, and never giving up.
