"I was at a church the other day and the church handed out your Spiritual Rut handout, the free one on this site. They gave no credit to you anywhere. When I checked their copy against yours, everything was the same except for the names. Is that legal or ethical? I know you are all about sharing, but they took credit for your incredible resource. Not only is it creative robbery, they are claiming your spiritually intimate thoughts as their own. For my own integrity, what is the proper way to site the material we get from you?"

Doug's response:
I really appreciate your concern for integrity. I wish more people in ministry were like you. My goal is to help you save time. Please use what you can. My only request is that you don't publish it or put in on your website. For you own integrity, I would keep from claiming personal illustrations or thoughts as your own. If you feel the need to cite, you can say, 'I got this from my friend Doug Fields.' God bless you.
